Why Should You Play This Faction? Since the release of their codex in 9th edition the Thousand Sons have been one of the more competitive factions of the Chaos Space Marine variety and they've come out of the gates swinging in 10th, emerging as one of the game's more powerful armies.

Today we go over my first impressions of Thousand Sons, Chaos Daemons, and finally Chaos Knights in Warhammer 40K 10th Edition.. The Daemon Prince again feels a little lackluster in just their damage output. They a really should have made their Sweeps have at least one pip of AP. 14 AP 0 attacks just isn't interesting unless they stack.

The Thousand Sons first broke out as a separate army in late 7th edition with the release of Magnus (the first 40k primarch!) and a host of new models which marked them as a standalone army. I want to convert a demon prince some day, but I was in a rush to get a thousand sons army off the ground and just bought the standard Daemon Prince. I painted his skin like Magnus', painted his armour with thousand sons blue and gold, then painted his wings to fade from crimson-purple-bright blue like Magnus' wings.
